10, 11, & 12 Weeks!

Oops!  It's been so long since I've posted and now Kaia is almost 3 months old (this Saturday to be exact)!  We continue to have so much fun with her.  Kaia is talking up a storm (we swear she said "Hi" and "I love you" today)... and tonight I'm pretty sure she shouted "Cookie!" at me :)  She has been sleeping through the night since about week 9 and is doing well again after a few nights of 3 am feedings.  She was going through a definite growth spurt those days.  She generally goes to sleep between 9 and 10 pm (yes, we will move this bedtime up as we get closer to having to go back to school/daycare) and stays asleep until sometime between 6:30 - 7:30 am.  Then she will eat and fall right back asleep until around 9:30 - 10:00, so I am thoroughly enjoying the sleep now!  We still go to Baby & Me as often as possible and she LOVES doing tummy time there where she can look around at all of the other babies - she's especially amused by the ones that crawl and walk all over the place!  She has rolled over once and I missed it :(  I'm sure it was an accidental roll-over, but I was still sad that I missed it.  Kaia has started holding onto some toys in the past week and bringing them up to her mouth.  She also really loves anything made of cloth that she can grasp and bring up to her mouth such as the cute sundress I put her in today.  It was up over her face most of the day.  I introduced one of those blankets that is really just a stuffed animal head with a small blanket attached to it today and she seemed to like that as well.  I love the huge smiles I get whenever I come into the room to get her in the morning or from a nap.  Kaia is such a happy girl and just lets us know when she's hungry or sleepy with her crying.  There's not too much fussing for no reason which is good.  It's funny that I can usually read her cries now... she has a very different one for hungry and for sleepy.  The hungry one always has a strong G sound in front of it "Gaaahhhh" and her sleepy one is more of a regular "Aaaahhhh".  I do have a lot more I could write about my baby, but I'm going to leave this one short since she's asleep and I really want to get in bed!!!  Hopefully I remember to post again before 3 more weeks go by!
